The City Beach park in Oak Harbor hosts its own Blarney Stone dedicated on March 17, 1980 to the local Irish settlers that arrived here in 1858. The original Blarney Stone is near Cork, in Ireland, and according to legend, kissing the Irish stone endows the kisser with the gift of the gab (great eloquence or skill at flattery).
