Shibuya crossing, Tokyo (Japan)

The Shibuya crossing, or Shibuya scramble crossing, is the extraordinarily busy and celebrated crosswalk right outside the Hachiko exit of the Shibuya station, and it is often used to illustrate the busy daily life in Tokyo. The vehicle traffic stops in all directions at once, and hundreds of pedestrians cross the intersection from every side: these are known as "diagonal crossing" or "exclusive pedestrian crossings" and, when busy, they are a real touristic attraction. Shibuya crossing is one of the busiest pedestrian crossings in the world.
